These documents were traced to the ‘Parish Chest’ of Kempsey.
The Removal Order appears to have been enforced because on 19 October 1767 the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor for the Borough and Parish of Stratford upon Avon granted two Indentures, one to Thomas Dyson for apprentice to John Stinton, of Kempsey, Wheelwright, and to Elizabeth Dyson for apprentice to Thomas Owen, of Kempsey, Husbandman. This appears to be Ann’s two youngest children, Thomas and Betty. These documents were traced to the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.
A search of the Parish Registers for Stratford upon Avon revealed a possible burial for Ann Dyson. It was the last entry on the page and was overwritten by the preceding entry but appears to show the burial of Ann DIZON on 24 November 1780. A search of the Register failed to locate any other births, marriages or deaths for Dyson’s after their removal to Stratford in about 1761. It would appear that all her children moved back to the Kempsey or Norton areas.
