His father Christopher was born about 1667 and married Anne Lilley, about 1690 but she died soon after the marriage, possibly in childbirth. Anne was baptised at Stoke Prior on 9 March 1666.

 Christopher then married Margaret Pooler, who was baptised on 9 September 1673 at Droitwich the daughter of John. The marriage took place on 21 February 1690 at St Michael Bedwardine Worcester.

Christopher was also the son of Christopher. His father was baptised on 1 November 1632 at Stock and Bradley the son of Henry and Margaret. Christopher married Ann Chillingworth on 3 August 1661 at St Helens Worcester. There is a Marriage Bond signed by Christopher Dison dated 3 August 1661 which states;

I this day, appeared personally, Christopher Dyson of the Parish of Bradley in the Diocese of Worcester, Yeoman, aged about 24 years, and a bachelor, and alleges that he intended to marry with Anne Shillingworth of the Parish of Bromsgrove in the Diocese aforesaid, aged about 21 years and a maiden, daughter of Roger Shillingworth, the elder, of the same place, Butcher, where also appeared and gave his consent thereunto. And that there is no lawful impediment by reason of any precontract confirminity, affinity or, other wife to hinder their intended marriage. This made fairly and prepared licence for them to be married in the Parish Church of St Helens in Worcester.
