- Will of William Dyson of Feckenham Wor Dated 20 January 1606
In the name of God Amen, I William Dyson of the Parish of Feckenham Wor in the County of Worcester, being weak in body but of good and perfect memory (praise be therefore given to God), on the 20th day of January 1606 during the Reign of our Sovereign Lord, James, King of England, France and Ireland, do make my last will and testament in manner and form following;
I give and bequeath my Soul to Almighty God, my maker and my body to be buried in Christian Burial. Whatever I bought and belongeth to me and my heirs and assigns - certain messuage land and Tenements, and Hereditament of one Robert Hemming of Feckenham Wor, and certain other Land Tenement and Hereditament of one John Weaver also in Feckenham Wor, and whereas Deany, my wife, after my decease, to have the Moiety, or one half of the said Messuage etc. For her dower, according to the custom of the Manor of Feckenham Wor, to have and enjoy for the rest of her life. I will give and bequeath to the said Deany, my wife, and her assigns, all other moiety or one half of all my said Messuage etc., situated, or being within the said Parish of Feckenham Wor, for within, during the time of 10 whole years after my decease, for the payment and discharging of my debts. After the end of the said 10 years, I will the said last mentioned moiety of the said last mentioned Messuage, land and Tenements - to remain to my son Henry Dyson, and his heirs forever. I give and bequeath and ordain the said Deany, my wife, my full and whole executrix of this my last will and testament. I give and bequeath to the Churchwardens of Feckenham Wor 12/-. I will that Deany, my wife, shall pay and discharge my debts.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, the day and year above written.
